We welcome volunteers at Cypress Elementary School.  All our volunteers must first compete a volunteer application on-line, with our District office (must be over 18 and not a Pasco County Schools student).
Cypress Elementary School is proud of our Volunteer Program, as well as all our volunteers. Our volunteer base consists of parents, grandparents and community members who dedicate themselves to becoming a positive role model for our students, parents and staff.  Cypress has consistently had one of the largest Volunteer Programs in Pasco County Schools.  Thank you for making Cypress such a great school!
Cypress has many volunteer opportunities to offer.  We can place volunteers willing to make weekly commitments, daily pledges, as well as those only able to give a few hours here and there.
Before volunteering, we ask you to view PCS Volunteer Guidelines as Volunteer Orientation/Training.
Key points to remember while volunteering:
  • Always sign in and out.
  • It is not appropriate to conference with teacher while volunteering.
  • While volunteering in the building or field trips, you may not take pictures of students other than your own child. Doing so may result in your volunteer privileges being revoked.
  • For safety reasons, non-school age siblings may not accompany you while you are volunteering. Prior approval from school administration must be obtained for middle/high school students to volunteer with you.
  • While volunteering, please be aware of your surroundings, topic of conversation and level of voice.
PEER Volunteers are students who are in middle or high school, and are accepted into our Cypress Volunteer Program on a case-by-case basis.  Please contact the school Volunteer Coordinator to begin the process.
